Haneyya discusses with Malaysian Prime Minister Israeli aggression

Ismail Haneyya Hamas’s leader discussed in a phone call on Saturday morning with the Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin the current developments related to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the violations of the rights of holy sites and citizens in Occupied Jerusalem.

Haneyya briefed the Malaysian premier on the Israeli violations including the decision to displace Palestinian citizens from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the context of Judaizing the Holy City the Israeli procedures at the al-Amud Gate in an attempt to divide Al-Aqsa and the massacres committed against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip including the killing of children.

The Hamas leader expressed his appreciation for the leadership and people of Malaysia in supporting the Palestinian people and praised the Malaysian positions on the Palestinian issue and the historical relationship between Malaysia and Palestine.

For his part Yassin affirmed that his country stands by Palestine rejecting the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip the holy sites and the Jerusalemites.

He affirmed that his country will communicate with the United Nations the Security Council and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to work to stop these violations.

The prime minister stressed the right of the Palestinians to achieve independence and to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Malaysia will cooperate with several Islamic countries for the sake of providing urgent humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people according to the Yassin.
