DUBAI (PIC)– Palestinian prime minister Ismail Haneyya on Monday discussed with the president of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed latest Palestinian developments in the presence of senior officials including his deputy Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al-Maktoum.
Haneyya had a constructive dialogue with Sheikh Khalifa over a number of important topics topped by future of the Palestine cause reconciliation process and the issues of Jerusalem and prisoners.
The premier elaborated on the difficult conditions in the Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli siege especially the power failure and its impact on vital sectors.
He explained the situation in occupied Jerusalem and the Israeli occupation’s Judaization attempts including efforts to force its indigenous inhabitants out of the holy city citing the recent banishment of Jerusalemite MPs.
Haneyya also touched on results of the war on Gaza and its destructive consequences on the infrastructure and civilian property.
Both parties stressed their joint desire to strengthen bilateral relations boost contacts and enhance joint work on issues of mutual concern.
Sheikh Khalifa affirmed his country’s backing to the Palestinian people along the road to obtaining legitimate rights and establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
He said that unifying the Palestinian ranks was an imperative in order to face challenges facing the Palestinian question.
