Ismail Haneyya the supreme leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has extended heartfelt condolences to Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan over victims of the earthquake that hit Elazig province in eastern Turkey on Friday night.
Haneyya condoled with Erdogan and families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the wounded.
He voiced his Movement’s solidarity with Turkey and its people over this painful event and prayed for Turkey’s safety and stability.
The magnitude 6.8 quake struck on Friday evening with its epicenter in the small lakeside town of Sivrice in Elazig province and was felt in neighboring countries.
It claimed the lives of 29 people while 1466 others were injured.
