GAZA (PIC)– The PA government of Ismail Haneyya in Gaza has called on all Palestinian factions to put higher national interests above any other considerations and to shun external pressures in order to reach agreement.
The cabinet during its weekly meeting on Tuesday discussed a number of political and security topics before appealing to the factions in Cairo to resolve pending problems and to call for releasing political detainees in the West Bank.
Taher Al-Nunu the government’s spokesman said that the national dialog in Cairo occupied a major portion of the cabinet’s weekly meeting.
He stressed that the government was looking forward to a successful end to the dialog in order to heal the Palestinian internal rift and to achieve national interests.
The spokesman said that the government urged the Arab and Islamic countries to shoulder their responsibilities towards occupied Jerusalem and the Israeli occupation authority’s feverish attempts to judaize the holy city through the forced migration of its indigenous inhabitants and demolishing and confiscating their homes.
The government also followed up efforts to document Israeli war crimes in Gaza in preparation for putting the Israeli war criminals on trial Nunu said adding that it also considers the continued closure of Gaza crossings a continuation of the aggression on the Palestinian people.
