The head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has hailed the recent diplomatic achievements of Algeria pointing out that such achievements are significant in rebuilding Algeria’s regional and national role.
In his speech at the annual conference held on Saturday by the Algerian National Construction Movement Haneyya said that bringing the Palestinian factions together to achieve Palestinian unity prior to the Arab League summit held in November is one of the most significant achievements of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
“Another welcomed position was when President Tebboune withdrew from the UN climate summit when Israel’s president Isaac Herzog ascended to the podium to deliver a speech last Monday” Haneyya affirmed commenting that such a position reflects the Algerian people’s conscience and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
Haneyya added that President Tebboune’s positions reflect the depth of the Algerian people’s role in supporting the Palestinian just cause pointing out that another achievement of Algeria is holding of the Arab Summit after a three-year hiatus.
He also discussed the Palestinian situation and regional and international developments including the repeated Jewish settlers’ incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque calling for persisting in defending the Palestinian lands and rights.
