Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya talked over the phone with Sheikh Tarrad al-Fayez a prominent Jordanian tribal figure on Friday and applauded his position in support of the Palestinian people and their resistance.
According to his office Haneyya expressed his deep appreciation to Sheikh Fayez for his ongoing support for the Palestinian people and their struggle for their rights and land affirming that the Palestinian people feel proud of such positions that reflect the Arab and Islamic nobility.
The Hamas leader stressed that the Jordanian people and their leadership would remain strategic supporters for the Palestinian people and their national cause.
For his part Sheikh Fayez valued the phone call from Haneyya vowing to uphold his positions in support of the Palestinian people until they achieve a victory against the Israeli occupation and return to their homeland and the towns and villages they were expelled from.
He recalled the great stature of the resistance in Gaza and other areas of Palestine in the hearts of the Jordanian people.
In a popular event organized recently in Amman in support of Palestine Sheikh Fayez urged the Jordanian government to restore its relations with the Hamas Movement and called for action to liberate Palestine.
He expressed his belief that the first Arab move for the liberation of Palestine would start from Jordan.
