Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya left the Gaza Strip through Rafah crossing on Monday for a tour to several countries.
Quds Press said that a delegation of Hamas officials led by Haneyya arrived in Cairo after leaving the Gaza Strip through Rafah crossing.
The news agency reported that Haneyya is set to meet with Egyptian officials before he starts a tour to Qatar Turkey and Russia.
The tour was described as “the first of its kind” since Haneyya was appointed head of Hamas’s political bureau two years ago.
Another Hamas delegation which is currently on a mission to visit refugee camps in Lebanon is set to accompany Haneyya and his delegation in their foreign tour.
