GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya on Sunday morning received a Russian delegation of media figures led by journalist Alexander Prokhanov in his office in Gaza.
During the meeting premier Haneyya hailed the Palestinian-Russian relations as historical and affirmed his government’s willingness to strengthen these ties.
He also appreciated the positions of Russia as a member of the international quartet on the middle east towards the Palestinian cause and the 2006 elections and its interaction with different Palestinian spectra affirming that Russia is always welcome in Palestine.
For his part head of the delegation and editor of Zavtra newspaper Alexander Prokhanov expressed his thanks to Haneyya for his hospitality.
Parokhanov described Gaza as the world’s island of freedom and admired its people for creating a strong resistance foundation and being steadfast despite all the suffering they are exposed to in their lives.
