Ismail Haneyya Hamas’s leader met with the new Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in the capital Tehran on Friday.
Haneyya and a senior delegation of the Hamas Movement congratulated the Iranian president on his assumption of the presidency wishing him every success according to the Movement’s statement.
The Movement’s delegation briefed the president on Palestinian developments especially the results of the battle of Saif Al-Quds and its positive effects on the Palestinian cause and its future.
The statement pointed out that the delegation also discussed the suffering of the Palestinian people from the actions of the occupation in expanding settlements and attempts to displace the Palestinians especially in Jerusalem and Sheikh Jarrah and the unjust siege on Gaza.
Hamas affirmed the insistence of the Palestinians to continue their resistance against the occupation by all means to obtain their legitimate rights and establish their state on all Palestinian lands.
Hamas also valued Iran’s position in its support of the Palestinian people and their resistance.
Raisi confirmed the continuation of the Iranian position in supporting the Palestinians and their brave resistance.
