Ismail Haneyya Deputy Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau met with a delegation of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) and held talks on the latest political developments in the Palestinian Question.
The delegation included members of the DFLP’s political bureau including Saleh Zaidan Saleh Naser Talal Abu Tharifeh Ziyad Jarghoun and member of the DFLP’s central committee Mahmoud Khalaf.
Haneyya’s office revealed in a statement that both parties reviewed in the meeting Israeli latest violations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and affirmed the refusal of the Israeli decision on settlements. The statement also condemned the Israeli latest escalation against the besieged enclave and called for taking an urgent action in relation to Occupied Jerusalem.
The Hamas leader Haneyya addressed the positive developments on the Egyptian attitude towards the Gaza Strip and highlighted the importance to achieve reconciliation and to end the internal division within a comprehensive national vision in light of real willingness to reach national unity.
For his part Saleh Naser called for ending division and convening the Palestinian national elected council. He also called for holding consultations for the formation of a national unity government as soon as possible.
