Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya on Monday phoned the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit to discuss the Israeli massacre committed against Gaza’s Great March of Return leaving 18 dead and more than 1500 injured.
Haneyya stressed the importance of seeking the International Criminal Court’s help to prosecute the Israeli occupation’s leaders.
He also called for forming a special international committee to investigate into the Israeli crime especially that the US had vetoed a UN Security Council statement urging restraint and calling for an investigation into the crime.
For his part Aboul Gheit strongly condemned the Israeli attack on peaceful protesters adding that the Arab League is set to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday to discuss this matter and take the necessary steps.
Aboul Gheit expressed his solidarity with the Palestinian people extended his condolences to the families of martyrs and wished speedy recovery for the wounded.
