Haneyya phones hunger striking mother of Palestinian detainee

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Wednesday phoned Khadija Fattash the mother of the Palestinian detainee in the Palestinian Authority prisons Murad Fattash who is on hunger strike in protest at her son’s detention.

Haneyya expressed his full solidarity with Fattash and her son Murad who was kidnapped by the Palestinian Authority security forces from his home in Salfit in the West Bank.

Haneyya demanded the immediate release of Fattash’s son and called for ending Khadija’s suffering which is adversely affecting her health.

In another phone call Haneyya congratulated the Palestinian ex-prisoner Kamel al-Khatib on his release from Israeli jails after serving a 16-year sentence over his affiliation with al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades the armed wing of Fatah movement.

The Hamas leader offered his condolences to al-Khatib for the loss of his mother who died only one day after his release.
