Head of Hamas’ political bureau Ismail Haneyya hailed on Sunday Qatar’s constant support to the Palestinian people and their national rights and its continued role to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s people.
This came during a visit by a senior delegation of Hamas officials to Qatari ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi’s office in Gaza Strip.
Qatar continues its efforts to break Israel’s decade-long siege on Gaza Haneyya said.
We extend our deep thanks to the State of Qatar the Emir the government and people. We thank the Qatari Ambassador’s efforts in following up the Qatari projects and grants in the strip he added.
Qatar has earlier announced a pledge of $150 million in humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip.
Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ordered the Qatar Fund for Development to send the aid to Gaza “to lessen the increasing graveness of the humanitarian tragedy” in the coastal enclave.
