Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya on Monday received a delegation of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) in his office in Gaza. Both parties talked over the developments of the reconciliation file and other national issues.
The DFLP delegation was led by Saleh Naser and two members of the Movement’s Political Bureau: Talal Abu Tharifa and Ziyad Jergon in addition to member of the DFLP’s Central Committee Mahmoud Khalaf.
The meeting was also attended by each of Salah al-Bardawil member of Hamas’s Political Bureau and the Hamas leader Ismail Radwan.
Both parties stressed the importance to achieve national reconciliation and ending the internal division. They discussed the investigation proceedings on the bombing attack that targeted Prime Minister Rami al-Hamdallah’s motorcade in Gaza a few days ago.
The DFLP delegation stressed the importance of calling on the preparatory committee of the Palestinian National Council to assume its duties and calling for an urgent meeting of the PLO development and activation committee for holding a successful cycle of the Palestinian National Council.
The convening parties also called for escalating and protecting al-Quds Intifada (uprising) in support for Occupied Jerusalem and foiling the US “deal of the century” which aims at diminishing the achievements of the Palestinian people and liquidating the Palestinian Question.
