GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya stated Monday evening during his reception of members of “Toyour al-Jannah” band in his office that their visit contributed to breaking Israel’s blockade on the Gaza Strip and carried great meanings of love and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Haneyya added that the band’s visit to Gaza is distinguished because it will bring joy and happiness to the hearts of children and adults who will hear its songs.
The premier also expressed his pride in the band because most of its members are originally Palestinians and stressed that such a band reflects that the Palestinian people despite their wounds and suffering can produce a lot of creativeness and arts.
For his part director of the band Khaled Mekdad said that the band in the near future will include children from Gaza and expressed his thanks for Gaza children and families who gave the band a warm reception at the Rafah border crossing.
The children of Toyour al-Jannah are expected to give two concerts in the cities of Gaza and Khan Younis on Tuesday and Wednesday.
