Haneyya to address Palestinian people on Makkah agreement Monday

GAZA (PIC)– PA premier Ismael Haneyya is scheduled on Monday to address the Palestinian people where he will explain the newly signed Makkah agreement between Hamas and Fatah factions.

Mohammed Al-Madhoun the director of PA premier’s office affirmed that the prime minister will arrive to Gaza Strip on Monday through the Rafah terminal as he is expected to address the Palestinian people and explains to them the milestones of the agreement at 7:30 p.m.

Haneyya is also expected to render his government’s resignation to PA chief Mahmoud Abbas in preparation to start forming the agreed-upon national unity government as stipulated in the Makkah agreement.

Media apparatuses opined that Abbas will accept the resignation of Haneyya’s government before commissioning him to form the PA unity government as agreed in details in Makka city.

During a press conference with President Husni Mubarak of Egypt a couple of days ago Abbas affirmed “according to the [PA] constitution Haneyya’s government will resign and I will immediately authorize him to form the coalition government on the fifteenth of this month.
