Political bureau chief of Hamas Ismail Haneyya is expected to meet on Monday with representatives of national factions over the progress of the Cairo-brokered reconciliation file.
A number of Hamas leaders who took part in the round of reconciliation talks in Cairo will attend the meeting slated to be held in the afternoon at the Commodore Hotel in Gaza.
Haneyya will brief a consortium of national faction delegates on the latest developments as regards the reconciliation file among other key issues.
On Thursday political bureau member of Hamas Khalil al-Hayya said a delegation led by Ismail Haneyya discussed with an Egyptian security envoy in Cairo the abject humanitarian situation in Gaza and the current challenges faced by the Palestinians.
In a Wednesday statement Hamas movement said it had wrapped up a “fruitful” 20-day stopover in Cairo.
