Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has warned that the normalization agreements with the Israeli occupation state will lead to perpetuating its hegemony over the Arab region.
Haneyya made the remarks on Saturday following his meeting in Lebanon with secretary-general of al-Jama’ah al-Islamiyya (Islamic Group) Azzam al-Ayoubi.
In a news conference he asked the Arab leaders not to normalize relations with the occupation state and refrain from allowing it to penetrate the region.
The Hamas official also talked about the US deal of the century and affirmed that “it cannot be dealt with at all or be a gateway to resolving the conflict.”
He pointed out that he discussed during his meeting with the leadership of al-Jama’ah al-Islamiyya the developments in the Palestinian and Arab arenas and other issues related to the living conditions of the Palestinian people in Lebanon and other Arab countries.
“We have found support for the path of steadfastness and resistance in occupied Palestine and we assert that it is the path that can shorten the road towards the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem” Haneyya said.
