Saturday 23-December-2017

Head of the Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya on Saturday said that he has information that the US is planning to issue new decisions regarding Jerusalem during the coming period.

Haneyya added that the new decisions would include recognizing Israel as a Jewish state and abolishing the Palestinian refugees’ right of return.

Speaking to the 11th Jerusalem Scientific Conference in Gaza on Saturday Haneyya affirmed that Hamas does not recognize the 1967 borders and stressed that Jerusalem with its eastern and western parts is the eternal capital of the state of Palestine.

The Hamas official emphasized that the Arab and Muslim nations had fought throughout history to liberate Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque and they will never give them up under any circumstances.

He pointed out that the current Palestinian Intifada against the recent US decision indicates that the Palestinians refuse to include Jerusalem in any negotiation or division process.

He reiterated “Donald Trump does not own Jerusalem and does not have the right to give it to Israel” adding that there is no state called Israel to have Jerusalem as its capital.

Haneyya called on the Palestinian Authority to take clear positions reconsider the peace process declare the end of the Oslo Accords and lift the restrictions imposed on resistance movements in the occupied West Bank.

He also called for establishing a long-term national strategy to confront the US conspiracies waged against the Palestinian cause.
