Member of Hamas’s political bureau Khalil al-Hayya has affirmed that the failure of the US bid to extract a resolution condemning his Movement from the UN General Assembly is a leverage for the Palestinian resistance.
In remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) Hayya said that the Israeli occupation is the biggest threat to the region and international peace calling for curbing its aggression against the Palestinian people.
The Hamas official also reiterated his Movement’s adherence to the option of resistance. “We will continue to uphold the option of resistance against the occupation which is embraced by the will of our people.”
He said that the Palestinian resistance achieved a victory over the American bullying at the UN and its attempt to manipulate international balances.
Hayya also applauded the countries that thwarted the US attempt on Thursday to condemn the Palestinian resistance and Hamas at the UN General Assembly.
