GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Khalil Hayya a member of Hamas-affiliated change and reform parliamentary bloc has categorically denied the presence of any initiatives or talk about a real calm between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation.
“What happened is that the caretaker government announced its positions that were reiterated both during the government of national unity or the previous government but on the ground it is impossible to talk about any calm because the Israeli occupation is violating everything” Dr. Hayya stated in a press release.
The lawmaker underlined that the problem is not in Hamas or in any other Palestinian faction but in the Israeli occupation which refuses any calm and refuses to recognize the rights of the Palestinian people.
Regarding the continuing tide of building settlements which has increased recently he opined that the Israeli occupation is aiming to impose the status quo through judaizing occupied Jerusalem and increasing the number of settlement outposts.
In the same context Abdelnasser Issa a Hamas prominent leader imprisoned in the Israeli Hadarim prison described on Tuesday the allegations propagated by the Israeli occupation about reaching a mutual truce with Hamas as false propaganda aimed to cover up for the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and an attempt to kill several birds with one stone.
Issa added that the Israeli occupation wants to distract through this propaganda the Palestinians from the largest campaign of judaization and settlement waged against occupied Jerusalem especially the Aqsa Mosque.
He also warned that the Israeli occupation is aiming to break the will of the Palestinians destroy their morale and raise the morale of Israelis through making them believe that Hamas which adopts resistance as a strategic option is itself seeking to reach agreements with Israel.
In retaliation to the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people the Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement has claimed responsibility for firing four homemade rockets on Tuesday morning on the Israeli Sderot settlement outpost located to the east of Gaza Strip.
The new air defense unit established by the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas on Tuesday also fired its heavy machineguns at Israeli helicopters which were flying over the eastern area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip and forced them to withdraw.
In a joint communiqué received by the PIC the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades along with the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced on Monday evening their responsibility for firing three homemade rockets at the Israeli settlement of Sderot.
