Health ministry voices concern over Israeli assaults on crews

Saturday 3-June-2017

The Palestinian ministry of health in Gaza has expressed deep concern over the Israeli occupation army’s persistence in targeting its ambulance crews while providing medical help for protesters rallying in border areas of the Strip.

A spokesman for the ministry denounced the silence of the international community and its institutions regarding Israel’s violations of the rules of the international law and the fourth Geneva convention regarding the protection of ambulance crews during work.

He affirmed that such international passivity would encourage Israel to commit more crimes against paramedics and civilians in Gaza.

Israeli soldiers on Friday afternoon showered young people protesting the blockade on Gaza as well as ambulance crews with tear gas and opened fire at them which led to injuries among several paramedics.
