Health of prisoner Yousri al-Masri deteriorating

GAZA (PIC)– Prisoner Yousri al-Masri said he is still suffering critical health condition due to Israeli policy of medical neglect according to Muhjat al-Quds foundation.
The foundation received on Sunday a letter from prisoner the sick detainee al-Masri saying that as a result of his cancer condition he suffers from serious physical weakness fainting spells acute pains in the liver stomach and colon a sharp rise in temperature and tachycardia.

The letter stated that despite his transfer to hospital last month where he spent over a month in Ramle jail he did not get improved as he did not undergo any health checkups.

The patient captive Masri said transferring him to hospital was not for treatment but it was within routine measures for writing a health report.

He said detention conditions at Eshel jail were very tough in addition to mal-treatment by prison management. He demanded to be moved out to Nafha prison where Gazan captives are held but the management refused his request.

Masri is 31 years of age from Dier al-Balah city in Central Gaza. He was arrested on June 09 2003 and sentenced to 20 years. He underwent a surgery for gland cancer removal two years ago but it was spread again in his body.
