Wednesday 1-March-2017

Ahmad Herzallah the spokesperson of Mohjat al-Quds Foundation said on Wednesday that Israel has issued more than 26000 decisions of administrative detention since the beginning of 2000.

Herzallah stressed that these decisions contradict the international conventions which authorized administrative detention in exceptional and very tough conditions.

During a protest organized by Mohjat al-Quds Foundation in Gaza in solidarity with the hunger-striking journalist Mohammed al-Qiq Herzellah accused Israel of security failure adding that the Palestinian people will not remain a hostage to Israeli policies.

For his part the leader in the Islamic Jihad Movement Waleed al-Modallal said that the international institutions hold full responsibility for the suffering of the Palestinian people especially the prisoners on hunger strike.

Modallal affirmed that the issue of the hunger-striking prisoners needs to be supported and backed by all Palestinians asserting that the prisoners’ suffering will remain “the flame of resistance against the Israeli occupation.”

He pointed out that the battle between the Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli occupation will continue until the liberation of all prisoners from Israeli jails calling for organizing demonstrations and sit-ins on the Arab and international levels in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners.
