Homes raided man injured by Israeli army in W. Bank

The Israeli occupation army at dawn Tuesday launched a widespread arrest campaign in the West Bank while a Palestinian man in his 50s was reportedly wounded by Israeli gunfire at Huwara checkpoint in Nablus.

Local sources said that Israeli soldiers kidnapped two young men from their homes in dawn raids in Shuafat refugee camp and ash-Sheikh Sa’d village in Occupied Jerusalem.

Another citizen called Ahmed Mansour was taken prisoner during a raid on his home in Deir Istiya town northwest of Salfit.

Israeli forces also ransacked several homes in Kifl Hares town near Salfit city and in Yatta town south of al-Khalil brutalized citizens and caused panic among children and women during their raids.

Another military force raided the house of Sheikh Izzuddin Amarneh in Ya’bad town west of Jenin. No arrests were made.

In Bethlehem a young man called Mohamed Taqateqa was kidnapped from his home in Beit Fajjar town.

Israeli troops also stormed Tell town south of Nablus at dawn clashed with young men and kidnapped 23-year-old Anas Ashtiya from his home.

In Nablus eyewitnesses reported that soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian man in his 50s near Huwara checkpoint and badly wounded him adding that they saw soldiers gathering around the man as he was lying on the ground.

According to the Red Crescent a 52-year-old man was injured in his legs and was provided with on-site medical assistance.

The Israeli army refused to let a Red Crescent ambulance crew to rush the wounded man to hospital.

Later the victimized man was identified as Hasan Qawariq from Awarta town.

In a separate incident a horde of fanatic Jewish settlers attacked homes in Silwad town east of Ramallah with stones before fleeing the area according to local sources.
