Hundreds of Palestinian citizens marched on Saturday in the funeral procession of 17-year-old martyr Haitham Mubarak who was killed two months ago by the Israeli occupation forces in eastern Ramallah.
The initial procession of the martyr moved from Palestine Hospital in Ramallah to his home in Beitunia town where his mother bade him a final farewell.
Later the mourners took the martyr in a procession of cars to his hometown (Abu Falah) in northern Ramallah before performing the funeral prayer at a local Mosque and then laying him to rest at the village cemetery.
During the procession the mourners chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian resistance and calling for responding to the occupations state’s crimes.
Yesterday the Israeli occupation army handed over the martyr’s body to the Palestinian Red Crescent after withholding it for over two months.
He was shot dead by Israeli soldiers at the entrance of Beitin village east of Ramallah on September 8.
