OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Hundreds of Jerusalemite Arabs hit the streets of the occupied city in an orderly march protesting the Israeli occupation authority’s practices against their city.
The march which started at noon Tuesday denounced the IOA demolition streak against whatever is Palestinian Islamic and Christian in the city.
Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Sheikh Mohammed Hussein and head of the higher Islamic authority and former Mufti Sheikh Ekrema Sabri took part in the march along with a number of Palestinian MPs representatives of Islamic national and Christian organizations and Arab members of the Israeli parliament.
The participants who also included members of the Jewish anti-Zionist movement Neturei Karta hoisted placards denouncing the IOA policy and attempts to judaize occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli police and special forces blocked roads in the face of the demonstrators forcing them to change the course of their march until they reached the Jewish controlled municipality to protest its policy of demolishing Palestinian homes.
The protestors who numbered around 2000 distributed a statement demanding a halt of the IOA racist policy against the Jerusalemites and an end to the confiscation of lands and IDs.
They urged the world community the USA and the quartet committee to shoulder their legal and moral commitment and to force the Hebrew state to abide by the UN resolution concerning the Palestine cause.
