Hundreds of Jerusalemite citizens at dawn Friday performed the Fajr prayer at the Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli police attempts to prevent them from entering the holy site.
According to local sources police forces tried to prevent the citizens from entering the Mosque through its different gates closed al-Asbat Gate and imposed movement restrictions on their vehicles.
Police officers also detained a Jerusalemite young man near the Aqsa Mosque with no reason and seized IDs of worshipers before allowing them to enter through its gates.
