“The Israeli prison authority transferred prisoner Khalil Awawdeh from Ofer prison to the Ramle prison clinic” Handala Center for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said on Thursday evening.
“Awawdeh has been on a hunger strike for 36 days and his health has deteriorated” it added.
Awawdeh 40 has been held under administrative detention since December 2021. He is an ex-prisoner and had participated in the 2012 mass hunger strike launched by the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
