Hamas Representative in Lebanon Ahmed Abdul Hadi on Saturday received in the Movement’s office in Beirut a delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Head of ICRC in Lebanon Mrs. Simone Kasabianka Achliman briefed Abdul Hadi on the Committee’s work in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon that support Palestinians in the fields of health and relief in addition to education and small projects.
For his part Abdul Hadi praised the Committee for its considerable support for the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon calling on it to provide more services for the refugees due to their difficult circumstances.
Abdul Hadi and the two members of the Movement’s political bureau in Lebanon Mashhour Abdel Halim and Abu Khalil Qassem welcomed the delegation that included the head of ICRC Simone Kasabianka Achliman and her deputy Basma Tabaja in addition to the head of the sub-committee in the city of Tyre Mamdouh Zaabal and his advisor on the Palestinian file Mohammad Takli.
The two parties stressed the importance of strengthening their relations and cooperation in addition to discussing ways to support the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
