Radio Israel claimed that Israeli general intelligence the Shin Bet arrested a resistance cell of Hamas Movement in al-Khalil over responsibility for planning to carry out anti-occupation attacks against Israeli targets.
Radio Israel revealed that the Shin Bet managed to foil planned attacks as well as attempts to capture Israeli soldiers in order to be swapped in future prisoner exchange deals being planned by Palestinians in Beni Naim town east of al-Khalil.
Members of the arrested cell had contacts over Facebook with Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip and attempted to make explosives the Shin Bet alleged.
Radio Israel disclosed that Israeli Attorney General submitted indictments against two Palestinian brothers: Hassan and Mohammad Zaidat 23 25 respectively. A third Palestinian from Arara town in 1948 Occupied Palestine was also arrested on suspicion of assisting the cell members it pointed out.
