BETHLEHEM (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has continued the construction of the racist separation wall in the West Bank city of Beit Jala near the occupied city of Jerusalem defying international ruling deeming the wall illegal.
Vast areas of Palestinian agricultural lands were seized and trees uprooted by the IOA’s bulldozers before commencing the construction of the wall in a bid to connect Israeli settlements adjacent to the city with each others through the Anfak street that the IOA built after inking the Oslo agreement with the PLO.
In 2004 the International Court of Justice in The Hague promulgated a verdict deeming the illegality of the wall; but Israel trampled the verdict and persisted in constructing the barrier.
