IOA exiles Palestinian mother retains her husband in captivity

Wednesday 14-February-2007

NABLUS (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has forced the exile of detainee Ruwaida Sami Freitekh to Jordan separating her from her 6-year-old child and her detained husband Samer Oweijan.

Lawyer of the Mandela foundation for human rights Buthaina Dakmak said that prisoners told her of the incident during a visit to each of Ahlam Al-Tamimi and Samar Subaih on Thursday 8/2/2007 in the Ramle prison for women.

They said that the IOA forced the deportation of Ruwaida on Monday 29/1/2007 in implementation of the Salem military court order on 26/11/2006.

Ruwaida was held in Israeli occupation jails since August 2006 and her husband is imprisoned in Megiddo prison. Their 6-year-old child is living with his grandfather in Nablus city.

IOA attempted to deport Ruwaida in September 2006 but she was in her last month of pregnancy and bled at the Jordan border bridge due to her transfer hand shackled in an army jeep forcing the IOA to carry her to Meir Saba hospital in the 1948 occupied lands.
