The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Friday extended the administrative detention of senior Hamas official Adnan Asfour for the third consecutive time.
According to his wife Asfour completed the second administrative extension of his detention on Thursday January 13 in Negev jail.
Israeli forces kidnaped Asfour from his home on February 16 2021 during an arrest campaign that targeted a number of Hamas officials in the West Bank.
The campaigns aimed to pressure them to refrain from running in the legislative council election that was supposed to take place at the time.
Later in the same month an Israeli military court ordered his detention administratively for six renewable months.
Asfour is a noted national and Islamic figure in Nablus City and had been arrested and jailed several times before.
