IOA extends administrative detention of Palestinian prisoner

Monday 27-November-2017

Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) on Monday extended the administrative detention of the Islamic Jihad leader and prisoner Bassam Abu Aker 55 from Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem. The extension order was made for four new months for the second time in a row according to Muhjat al-Quds Foundation for Martyrs and Prisoners.

The foundation pointed out that Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Abu Aker on July 07 and held him under the illegal administrative detention with no charge or trial.

The Islamic Jihad leader was previously detained for several times in Israeli jails where he served a total of 20 years of imprisonment. His last arrest lasted for 12 consecutive years before he was released on May 31 2016.
