OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Tuesday knocked down a Palestinian home in Eisawiye village occupied Jerusalem district at the pretext it was built without permit.
The Hebrew radio said that an Israeli policeman was hurt when infuriated owners of the home threw stones at the escort force that accompanied the IOA bulldozers.
Israeli security men closed all entrances to the town and blocked citizens from getting out or into it the broadcast said.
In Bethlehem’s village of Doha IOF soldiers destroyed part of a house Monday evening after failing to arrest a wanted activist.
Locals said that around 100 IOF soldiers encircled the home of Nidal Malash amidst intensified firing of live bullets and gas canisters at the house. They said that the soldiers asked Malash through loudspeakers to surrender but after seven hours they discovered that he was not in his home.
Angered by their failure to arrest the activist the soldiers unleashed their bulldozers and flattened part of it before arresting Nidal’s brother Munther 20 and his brother-in-law Walid Zaquq 24.
A Palestinian child was moderately wounded when the soldiers fired at stone-throwing youths in the village.
The IOF rounded up 28 Palestinians overnight Monday and Tuesday morning half of them from Tulkarm.
An IOF spokesman said that 15 of those detained Palestinians were alleged members of Hamas Movement.
In the Gaza Strip the Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad fired a locally made Quds missile at Sderot settlement adjacent to the Strip on Tuesday morning in a “preliminary response to Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and to IOF threats to invade the Strip”.
