The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) forced on Monday night a Jerusalemite family to demolish their home in Silwan Occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of building without a permit.
Local sources said that the Israeli police forced the family of Suheir Ghaith to raze their small house in the Wadi Qaddum in Silwan after they received a demolition notice.
The IOA told Ghaith’s family to raze their home or else the bulldozers of the occupation would demolish it and they will have to pay the sum of 45 thousand shekels about 13 thousand dollars as demolition costs.
Jerusalemites are forced to demolish their homes with their own hands to avoid incurring exorbitant demolition expenses and fines imposed by the occupation municipality.
The demolitions come under the pretext of unlicensed construction while in fact they are meant to prevent the natural growth of Palestinians harass them and confiscate their lands to Judaize the Holy City and impose full control on the land.
