The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Sunday forced a Jerusalemite citizen to demolish his own house in Jabel Mukaber neighborhood at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources the Israeli municipality forced Khaled Basheer to raze his 50-square-meter house which accommodated his son Ahmed who has Down syndrome.
Basheer had received an Israeli demolition notice about four months ago and another one about two weeks ago.
He had to raze his home with his own hands to avoid paying thousands of shekels to the municipality’s demolition crews.
