RAMALLAH (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority on Tuesday decided to hold Sheikh Saleh Al-Aruri one of the prominent Hamas political leaders in the West Bank under administrative detention without charge or trial for six months.
Aruri who was moved from Ofer isolation wards to that of Askalan was kidnapped at a time he was trying to bridge gaps between Hamas and Fatah and to contain the campaign of security arrests of Hamas sympathizers in the West Bank at the hands of security apparatuses loyal to PA chief Mahmoud Abbas.
The IOF kidnapped Sheikh Aruri on 23rd June only three months after his release from a 15-year imprisonment in occupation jails.
