Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) during the past week prevented 74 Palestinians from leaving the occupied Palestinian territories through al-Karama crossing the only outlet connecting the West Bank with the rest of the world via Jordan.
Palestinian police said in a press statement on Saturday that the IOA ordered 74 Palestinian citizens to return last week and prevented them from travelling on “security grounds” with no details given adding that nearly 71000 passengers managed to pass through al-Karama during the same period.
Israel imposes arbitrary restrictions on the travel and movement of Palestinians that fall in line with a collective punishment policy pursued against them.
