NABLUS (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) transferred detained Palestinian academician Dr. Mohammed Salibi from Ofer jail to hospital after his health condition declined.
Salibi 63 suffers a lot of chronic illnesses such as diabetes hypertension and pain in the neck the Tadamun foundation for human rights said adding that he had undergone a catheterization operation back in 2009.
The foundation said in a statement on Tuesday that Salibi’s health condition was not exactly known adding that he was supposed to undergo a similar operation in the heart at the start of 2012 but his detention in mid January averted the surgery.
Salibi’s son Amir 22 has been arrested by the end of 2011 and is still held in Megiddo jail since then.
