The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) approved on Sunday the confiscation of dozens of dunums of Palestinian land in Bethlehem south of the West Bank.
Hassan Brijieh the director of the Office of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority said that the IOA has approved settlement plans that will seize lands adjacent to Beitar Illit A settlement Basin No. 3 and Basin No. 4 in the Mersyah area and Khirbat al-Kabra of Nahalin’s lands. Also Basin No. 3 in the Wadi Abu Al Hamra area from the lands of Husan village to the west will be confiscated.
Brijieh pointed out that this decision aims to convert these targeted lands into public places and roads for Jewish settlers and settlement units.
In another development the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) razed large areas of Palestinian land in Khirbet Zanuta east of Dhahriya town south of al-Khalil.
Fayez Khedirat the head of the Village Council said that IOF bulldozers began razing lands of the Al-Tal family east of Zanuta in favor of the Israeli industrial zone of the so-called “Settlements Regional Council”.
