The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Monday issued stop-construction orders against a mosque and other residential facilities in Masafer Yatta town south of al-Khalil city.
Coordinator of national and popular committees against the wall and settlements Rateb al-Jabour said that the IOA notified halting the construction of a mosque in the eastern area of Yatta.
Jabour told Quds Press that the IOA also handed the Palestinian citizen Mohammed al-Dababseh stop-construction notices targeting a number of facilities he owns.
The Palestinian activist pointed out that Masafer Yatta is surrounded by three Israeli settlements and repeatedly attacked by settlers.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers from Ma’on and Havat Ma’on settlements on Monday seized dozens of dunums of privately-owned Palestinian lands in the town.
