The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished anew 10 commercial structures in Hizma town northeast of Jerusalem on Wednesday morning at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Hizma mayor Nufan Salahuddin said that Israeli bulldozers demolished 10 commercial structures used as auto workshops near the main road in Hizma.
The IOA had demolished these structures two months ago before its owners rebuilt it.
Such Israeli measure deprived many Palestinian families of their sources of livelihood.
In an earlier incident the IOA bulldozed a plot of land and structures belonging to a Palestinian citizen in the east Jerusalem town of Sur Baher.
Local sources said that an Israeli bulldozer escorted by police forces stormed on Tuesday morning Ghazeel neighborhood in Sur Baher and embarked on razing four dunums of land along with its premises contents and its internal and external walls.
In the West Bank the Israeli occupation army handed Palestinian citizens on Wednesday stop-work orders against three homes under construction in Khirbet Umm Qassa hamlet in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
The Israeli army justified the measure by claiming the homes were built with no permits.
In a related context an Israeli military court approved on Tuesday a verdict ordering the demolition of Palestinian prisoner Omar Jaradat’s home in Silat al-Harithiya west of Jenin after rejecting a petition filed by his family.
The Israeli occupation army handed the family of prisoners Ghaith and Omar Jaradat a notice ordering the demolition of their homes as a punitive measure.
The Israeli army has accused Omar and Ghaith of carrying out the shooting operation in the evacuated site of Homesh outpost that led to the death of one Jewish settler and the injury of two others.
