The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished on Monday eight homes in western Jericho belonging to Jerusalemite families at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources the houses were under construction and belonged to Palestinian families who decided to build on their own lands in Jericho.
The owners of these houses are Khalil Afana Ra’ed Smirat Mar’iee Jaabis Nasser ash-Shalloudi Sharif Qaqouri Yousef al-Asmar Kamal Barahma and Ayman Sablaban.
The Palestinians in the occupied territories have no choice but to build on their own lands without licenses because there are no structural maps that respond to the natural increase in their numbers.
The IOA also imposes building restrictions on them and makes it hard for them to obtain construction permits.
