OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Israeli-controlled municipality of occupied Jerusalem sent its bulldozers on a fresh destruction mission in occupied Jerusalem on Monday damaging this time a soccer stadium in Silwan and razing a house in the mount of Olives.
The municipality bulldozers were escorted by Israeli police forces and soldiers when they leveled the Wadi Hilwa stadium in Silwan town to the south of the Aqsa mosque.
The Israeli bulldozers then tore down a sit-in tent pitched by inhabitants of the suburb back in 2007 in protest over the confiscation of their land and property.
An Israeli court is expected on Monday to look into the municipality demand for removing another sit-in tent pitched in Bustan suburb in Silwan as tension is running high in the neighborhood fearing that the bulldozers might level other Palestinian property.
In the Mount of Olives near to the old gates of Jerusalem the municipality bulldozers razed a Palestinian house in Suwana suburb.
Israeli policemen and soldiers sealed off the area surrounding the house as its owners rushed to carry whatever they could of their belongings before the bulldozers started the demolition.
