The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) carried out a large-scale demolition campaign against homes and agricultural structures on Wednesday in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local news reports the Israeli army’s civil administration demolished a residential room and a water well belonging to a farmer in al-Baqa’a area in the northeast of al-Khalil.
The same farmer received a demolition notice against an agricultural structure in the area.
The Israeli army also stormed Khirbet al-Fakhit hamlet in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil and demolished nine agricultural and residential structures for the fourth consecutive time in four months.
Local sources said that the Israeli army displaced a large number of Palestinian citizens including women and children after wreaking havoc on their tents in Khirbet al-Fakhit.
In Salfit the IOA delivered 10 stop-work orders against homes and structures in Marda village at the pretext they are located in Area C which is under Israeli military control.
However local sources affirmed that there are families living in six of these homes whose owners received stop-work orders adding that they were built legally in 1995 and are located in Area B which is under Palestinian civil control and Israeli military control.
In east Jerusalem the IOA demolished the house of Hatem Abu Rayala in Issawiya district and displaced his family.
The IOA also demolished a mobile home that housed a family of five individuals and a cattle shed in az-Za’ayyem town northeast of Jerusalem.
Four walls belonging to local residents were also knocked down during the same demolition campaign in az-Za’ayyem town.
