The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Tuesday demolished three Palestinian structures in the east Jerusalem town of Beit Hanina and the West Bank area of Masafer Yatta in southern al-Khalil at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources a bulldozer escorted by police forces stormed a neighborhood in Beit Hanina and demolished a structure belonging to a local resident.
The IOA also carried out a bulldozing operation in Jabel Mukaber town in east Jerusalem.
Meanwhile several Jerusalemite citizens participated in a sit-in outside the Israeli municipality headquarters in the holy city in protest at the ongoing demolition campaign against Palestinian homes.
The participants chanted slogans condemning the systematic demolition of Palestinian homes the appropriation of their lands and the financial penalties imposed on them.
They called on the UN and international organizations to pressure the Israeli government to stop the ethnic cleansing policy it pursues against the Palestinians in the holy city.
In a separate incident the Israeli occupation army on the same day demolished two structures used for agricultural purposes in the West Bank village of al-Fakhit in Masafer Yatta.
