The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) renewed the administrative detention of the mayor of El-Bireh Islam Al-Tawil for three months for the second time in succession on Thursday.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested the mayor of El-Bireh from his home on March 21 few days before the local elections.
The IOA ordered the administration detention of Tawil for four months.
Al-Tawil was heading the Hamas list of nominees which won the El-Bireh municipal elections last March.
