The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) decided to reopen its only crossing with Gaza Beit Hanoun (Erez) for workers two days after closing it.
“Following a security assessment it has been decided… that as of tomorrow… laborers and merchants will again be permitted to enter Israel from Gaza through the Erez crossing” Israeli media sources revealed Monday evening.
Israeli army minister Benny Gantz indicated on Sunday that “opening the crossing for merchants and laborers and the other civilian measures applied to the Gaza Strip are conditioned on the continued preservation of a stable security situation in the area.”
Earlier Saturday Israeli authorities declared the closure of the Erez border crossing starting from Sunday till further notice in response to last week’s rocket fire.
A day Earlier Israeli military sources claimed two rockets were fired from Gaza.
